The HTR Z5 is Sumitomo's ultra high performance summer tire designed with responsive high-speed handling and reliable traction in warm, dry and wet conditions. Sumitomo uses and aggressive summer compound to mold a five-rib tread pattern with a continuous center rib that aids stability and improves steering response. THe HTR Z5 has substantial shoulders that improve lateral grip and inner rib notches for traction in wet conditions that combine with lateral shoulder grooves to evacuate standing water from the footprint for hydroplaning resistance.
